On the occasion of National Zero Waste Day, organized by the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, the Naforé Association actively participated in this important initiative aimed at promoting sustainable waste management and raising public awareness of environmental pollution issues.
Present at the event with an exhibition stand, the Naforé team highlighted the various actions carried out in the field to protect the environment. Visitors were able to discover the awareness-raising activities conducted by the association with communities, young people, and schools to encourage waste reduction, sorting, recycling, and the adoption of more environmentally friendly behaviors.
This participation also provided an opportunity to share Naforé’s experience in implementing sustainable development projects and to exchange ideas with institutional partners, civil society organizations, and the general public on concrete solutions to combat waste-related pollution.
As part of this day’s events, Naforé also participated in Panel 3, which focused on the role of civil society in combating waste pollution. Through its presentation, the association emphasized the importance of civil society organizations’ involvement in raising awareness, mobilizing communities, and supporting local initiatives for a cleaner and healthier environment.
