The NAFORE Association for Environmental Protection organized the renewal of the governing bodies of the Djelliwar Local Collective Management Association for Natural Resources (AGLC/RN) on November 9, 2025, in Djellewar.
Objectives:
- To ensure a democratic, inclusive, and transparent process for renewing the AGLRN governing bodies;
- To effectively mobilize all members and stakeholders;
- To establish legitimate, representative bodies capable of ensuring good governance of the association.
This activity is part of the project “Integrated Management of Natural Resources in Two Wetland Landscapes Located Along the Great Green Wall in Mauritania – PGIRN,” funded by the GEF, and will be implemented by the Mauritanian National Agency for the Great Green Wall (ANGMV), in close collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
