On the occasion of the Great Green Wall Days and the development workshop for the GEF-8 PMA project in Nouakchott from February 21 to 24, 2025,
the NAFORE Association had the honor of participating in these events that brought together experts, researchers, decision-makers, and field actors to discuss the restoration of degraded lands and strengthening climate resilience in Mauritania.
The workshop deepened the strategies of the GEF-8 PMA project, funded by the Global Environment Facility, to help Least Developed Countries adopt a green and resilient economy.
The Nafore association highlighted the importance of involving local communities and sustainable development in the face of challenges such as deforestation, water management, and climate-adapted agriculture in the Sahel.
