Launch workshop
On September 18, 2024, in Fam Lakhderatt, in the Aghorat Commune, Assaba Region, the Naforé Association held a workshop to launch the project “Restoration of Degraded Lands and improvement of the livelihoods of the populations of Tamourt Bougary through nature-based solutions,” funded by the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility (SGP) implemented by UNDP. About thirty participants were present at the ceremony.

Set up a mini dairy farm
A plot of 400 square meters has been allocated as part of the project for the implementation of a mini-dairy activity, and a minutes of the allocation has been signed by the Mayor of the Commune of Aghoratt in the presence of the village chiefs from the two villages of Oumoul Ghoura and Chiva. The establishment of the mini-dairy in the commune of Aghorat, known as a mainly agro-pastoral area, enables the economic empowerment of women through the processing and marketing of milk, which will significantly increase the income derived from converting fresh milk into healthy and quality dairy products, as well as by professionalizing women processors in the local dairy sector. Additionally, it grants them a social position, thanks to the strengthening of their ties with livestock breeders.
