The Naforé Association participated from March 26 to 31, 2024, in a series of regional workshops for the validation and technical framing of the project “Integrated Management of Natural Resources of three Wetland Areas along the Great Green Wall in Mauritania – PGIRN”.
These workshops took place in Aleg, Maal, Djelliwar, and the Karakoro.
A mission had traveled from Nouakchott to organize and share at this workshop, and this mission included
- Mr. Béchir N’Dath from IUCN – Mauritania
- Mr. Olivier Lasbouygues, French consultant
- Mr. Salif Dem, representing the Naforé association
- Mr. Nouma Watt, representing the NGO Nature Mauritania
- Mr. Mohamed, representing the NGO ODZASE
Mand several officials from the Great Green Wall, technical service heads, and mayors from the interested municipalities participated in these workshops.
