From January 28 to February 6, 2026, we participated in the waterbird census campaign organized in the Banc d’Arguin National Park (PNBA), as part of the International Waterbird Census (IWC). This mission was an enriching experience, both technically and personally.
We actively participated in field operations, particularly in waterbird counts at various sites within the park. We also contributed to the rigorous data collection and the identification of migratory and resident species. This work, carried out in close collaboration with the technical teams and partners involved, is part of a comprehensive effort for ecological monitoring and the conservation of avian biodiversity.
This participation strengthened our skills in ornithological observation, census methodology, and environmental data management, while also contributing to national and international efforts to preserve wetlands and waterbird species.
